Job Description
The opportunity:
The Director Data Analytics & AI leads the development and execution of RCLs data and analytics strategy driving actionable insights to enhance customer engagement and overall business performance. This role requires effective storytelling combined with deep experience in data science and advanced analytics and the ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams to deliver results.
Key Responsabilities:
- Develop a comprehensive data and analytics strategy aligned with corporate objectives
- Drive the adoption of artificial intelligence and machine learning into business processes ensuring effective crossfunctional governance of key initiatives
- Develop RCLs data science practice to drive predictive analytics product recommendations price optimization and inventory management
- Oversee the collection management and governance of customer data to ensure data integrity and compliance with privacy regulations
- Own the roadmap for business intelligence developing dashboards and reports that drive key business decisions
- Build and lead a highperforming team of data engineers scientists and analysts fostering a culture of innovation collaboration and continuous learning
- Build excellent partnerships with leaders across the Digital CRM eComm Retail Merchandising and Marketing teams; empower their teams with the data and insights required to take better business decisions
- Drive the broader data culture across RCL brands and be a champion to drive more business decisions through insights
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and trends in data science and artificial intelligence to bring the best innovation to RCL
Qualifications :
What Sets You Apart:
Education:
- 10 years of demonstrated experience in advanced analytics data science and/or data engineering preferably in retail with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Data Science Computer Science Statistics Engineering or Mathematics. MBA or equivalent experience preferred
- Proven ability and experience leading teams to analyze customer data for actionable business insight
Competencies:
- Strong SQL skills for querying relational databases
- Experience using Adobe Analytics/Google Analytics
- Experience using and implementing visualization tools like Tableau MicroStrategy or Power BI
- Experience with common machine learning libraries in R Python Spark is an asset
- Strong critical thinking analytical and problemsolving skills and excellent attention to detail
- Strong balance between the science of analytics and the creativity required to appropriately interpret business insights: skilled at turning complex analysis into simple conclusions and recommendations
- Technical data science & analytics leadership: ability and desire to coach the team to build technical skills
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence through visual written and oral communication
- The ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams and consider the business impact of decisions on diverse groups; influence others to achieve project goals
