NIQ is a leading provider of innovative technology solutions. We are committed to delivering exceptional service and support to our clients. We are currently seeking a motivated and detailoriented Junior Oracle Database Support Specialist to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation configuration and maintenance of Oracle database systems.
- Monitor database performance and perform regular system checks to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve databaserelated issues in a timely manner.
- Assist in database backup and recovery procedures.
- Support database security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Collaborate with senior database administrators and other IT staff to optimize database performance.
- Document database configurations procedures and troubleshooting steps.
- Following with Oracle support for daytoday major errors to imply permanent fixes and for availability of bug fix and patching.
- Database activities such as creation of schema roles providing grants managing tablespaces & indexes and object validations.
- Scheduling scripts and procedures through oracle jobs and crontab.
- Proactively detect problems related to service or infrastructure operations and conduct diagnostics.
- Generating AWR ADDM reports for analyzing performance related issues.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field.
- Basic understanding of Oracle database architecture and administration.
- Familiarity with SQL and PL/SQL programming.
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
