Job Description

To support the continuing expansion of IDIADA activities in the UK we are seeking a suitable professional to join our UK Homologation team.

This role will be based in Warwickshire United Kingdom and include regular travel to customer sites with occasional overseas travel to support client testing and homologation activities when required.

This position reports to the UK Homologation Manager and is responsible for:

  • To carry out and deliver homologation activities across the existing client base.
  • Clientfacing customerfocused role working across a wide range of vehicle manufacturers (Categories M N L and O)
  • To generate opportunity proposals in line with IDIADAs technical scope related to the project execution under supervision.
  • Witness testing at manufacturer locations or testing laboratories for homologation
  • Purpose preparation and presentation of test reports.
  • To support the Senior Homologation Engineers to prepare the required homologation tests and to carry out these tests.
  • Keep updated about all the innovations findings news and regulations changes in their field

Qualifications :

Desired profile

  • Previous automotive or homologation experience essential in activities such as:
    • Commercial Vehicle Approval (desirable).
    • Passenger Car Passive & Active Safety (essential).
    • Knowledge of ADAS Cyber Security and Software update systems and GSRII requirements (desirable).
  • Knowledgeable in type approval regulations technical and safety requirements.
  • Fluent in English. Other languages will be an asset.
  • Ability to travel within the EU.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (other relevant engineering disciplines or experience will be considered).
  • Practical knowledge of the automotive industry.
  • Knowledge of Automotive OEM processes.
  • Sales/Engineering/Technical knowledge.
  • Commercial costing engineering or programme management knowledge.
  • Full driving license is essential.
