Job Description

Join the team responsible for maintaining and innovating certmanger a widelyused CNCFgraduated opensource project designed to manage secure machine identities in Kubernetes environments. As a Software Engineering Intern youll gain handson experience in an enterprisegrade project using Kubernetes Go and cloudnative technologies. Youll work closely with a dedicated highly experienced team of engineers committed to securing automated certificate management at scale.

This internship is ideal for someone enthusiastic about learning excited about cloudnative tech and interested in contributing to a highimpact opensource project.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to certmanager development: assist in feature development bug fixes and testing enhancements.
  • Engage in the entire software development lifecycle: gain handson experience with certmanagers processes from initial planning to code reviews testing and deployment.
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers: participate in code reviews standups and team discussions learning from senior team members and gaining realworld experience in opensource collaboration.
  • Work with Kubernetes environments: learn how to develop test and deploy within Kubernetes clusters and manage complex deployments and CI/CD workflows.
  • Documentation and communication: Write documentation share your progress with the team and seek mentorship to foster professional development.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.
  • Possess a basic understanding of software development ideally with some experience in Go Kubernetes or cloudnative technologies (preferred but not required).
  • Be eager to learn and grow with the team showing a proactive approach to problemsolving and collaboration.
