Job Description
The primary purpose of the role as a member of the Experian Network Operations team is to provide operational network engineering support and decrease MTTR. You will work closely with the security build and operational teams to maintain a resilient and secure network infrastructure to adhere to stringent Regulatory Governmental and Industry security control requirements. In this role you will be approaching every day with a collaborative and team focused mentality. All while working within ITIL methodology to deliver high quality incident management problem resolution and implementation of changes to maintain every aspect of Experians global network infrastructure.
A strong technical network background is essential. The team work with a variety of manufacturers including Fortinet Cisco F5 Citrix and Checkpoint and relevant qualifications would be advantageous. Must have a good understanding of IP VPN SDWAN LAN/WAN Switching Routers load balancers & Firewalls.
Summary of Primary Responsibilities
- Provide direct front line incident support and management working with internal and external customers as well as vendors when needed
- Monitor the network and security systems within a global multiregion multitenant cloud (AWS Azure GCP & etc.) and on premises environment. Includes Checkpoint and Cisco FWs Cisco and Arista switches/routers F5 and Citrix Load Balancers McAfee and Checkpoint IPS appliances Incapsula WAFs and more
- Document process and issues with tools like Confluence Service Now and Visio/Lucid Charts
- Work with leadership and other cross functional teams to establish processes will reduce MTTI/MTTD/MTTR
- Create technicallevel communications and relationship building to gain credibility/trust of internal and external customers
- Maintain technical knowledge of Network and Cloud technologies
- Certificate Lifecycle Management with network loadbalancers security IPS/WAF/Proxy
Schedules available:
- Tuesday through Saturday.
- 11:00AM 8:00 PM Central time Subject to time zone changes.
Qualifications :
- 4 years of validated experience in managing network technologies in a large globally diverse environment.
- Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools such as NNMi Thousand Eyes Grafana Dynatrace and Extrahop.
- Proven expertise working with Global Telecommunications carriers.
- Experience with stateful firewalls (Cisco ASA Checkpoint Fortigate) and packet inspection techniques.
- Experience commonly deployed WAN technologies and concepts P2P MPLS VRF Wave SDWAN WAN Optimization.
- Experience working with Citrix Netscaler or F5 load balancers.
- Experience/knowledge of virtual networking technologies such as ASA virtual contexts VRFs Fortinet VDOMs and virtual networking devices such as Cisco CSR 1000v.
- Experience with ITIL incident problem & change management.
- Proven ability to exercise sound judgment in complex high pressure situations.
- Proven ability to utilize established processes and documentation.
- Problem solving mentality using internal and/or external resources.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Professional goals with a focus on continual growth through development plans and goals.
Additional Information :
This is a permanent homebased role in Costa Rica. No relocation available.
