Individuals with successful project management experience limited to projects of small scope limited risk and complexity and/or of short duration. Individuals at this level will typically be assigned to manage projects under the direction of a State supervisor or manager. Individuals with this level of experience are suitable for small Client Agency projects with clear achievable outcomes or in assignment as project support on larger projects. Individuals at this level can also be used to in the capacity of a Project Controller provided that they can satisfy the basic requirements of that position. Advanced level: Individuals with a mastery of project management skills qualifications and experience. This individual shall function effectively with very little supervision while maintaining a high professional standard. They are assigned to extremely complex and/or high risk projects that reflect the highest priorities of state government. These individuals are comfortable working with the highest levels of state government and are able to contribute to the furtherance of the states objectives. These individuals have the necessary skills and experience to assist in statewide project portfolio management and/or IT Investment Management.
Project Management
This role requires comprehensive oversight of the project lifecycle focusing on planning execution and delivery. The Project Manager will develop and maintain detailed project plans including schedules budgets and resource allocation. They will manage project scope configuration and change requests ensuring adherence to established change control processes. A key responsibility is coordinating resources including internal staff and contract personnel to achieve project objectives while tracking progress and generating regular status reports. The Project Manager will identify and mitigate risks facilitate team meetings such as Agile standups and act as the central point of communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals. Additionally they will adhere to organizational standards and best practices such as PMBOK and Agile methodologies to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Project Management to include the areas of Stakeholder Management Risk Management Change Management and Resource Management.
The Project Manager will work collaboratively with stakeholders and teams to build understanding and alignment around Agile practices tailoring approaches to suit the organizations current maturity and readiness for change. Responsibilities also include tracking Agile metrics removing barriers to progress and ensuring the delivery of incremental highquality outcomes.
Software Development Project Delivery
This role involves overseeing the technical aspects of designing developing and implementing IT solutions. This role emphasizes incorporating Agile software delivery methodologies to improve project delivery and team collaboration within an organization in the early stages of adopting Agile practices. The Project Manager will guide and advocate for Agile principles fostering an iterative development environment continuous improvement and enhanced team dynamics. They will facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning standups and retrospectives while providing coaching and support to team members unfamiliar with Agile frameworks. The Project Manager will work collaboratively with stakeholders and teams to build understanding and alignment around Agile practices tailoring approaches to suit the organizations current maturity and readiness for change. Responsibilities also include tracking Agile metrics removing barriers to progress and ensuring the delivery of incremental highquality outcomes.
