Job Description

This position has primary responsibility is to meet the needs of conference business and social events (inclusive of weddings) from completion of contracts through to onsite management of the event and a postevent follow up.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to identify new clients and retain existing ones for various events including conferences weddings and corporate functions.
  • Collaborate with event planners to understand client requirements provide tailored solutions and recommend suitable event packages.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients while ensuring profitability for the hotel and assist with meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Conduct site tours for potential clients showcasing the hotels facilities services and unique selling points.
  • Manage and update the customer relationship management (CRM) database with client information sales progress and event details.
  • Analyze postevent feedback from clients to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance future event sales and client satisfaction.

Qualifications :

Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience in Hotels or Events Industry for a minimum of 1 year
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for creating an event that exceeds the expectations of the client/s
  • A can do attitude and understand what it takes to achieve the best results and provide an unforgettable experience for your clientele.
  • Excellent telephone technique & email etiquette plus the ability to maintain friendly relations with customers both internal and external.

Competencies

  • Success in delivering events from contracting to full event execution
  • Conduct familiarisation and site inspections with new and existing clients
  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to work with and manage multiple clients and their details simultaneously
  • A genuine passion for hospitality events and customer service
  • Welldeveloped computer knowledge and strong admin skills
  • Delphi and Opera Cloud experience preferred
