RCS is seeking an Applications Developer to serve as a focal point for coordinating planning developing supporting and executing cyber research and tasking. The applications developer will perform Agile based Operations & Maintenance (O&M) for a Tasking Portal housed in a Cloud environment. The tasking portal allows for end users to input requests and specific data for data collection.

This position requires the candidate to work onsite in Chantilly VA. Relocation assistance is not available.

What you will do:

• Daytoday tasks such as bug fixes and enhancement releases.
• Gather and assist in the preparation of requirements based on customer needs.
• Analyze requirements and translate them to both user stories and development tasks.
• Prepare documentation such as program user and security documentation.
• Develop and maintain software applications including web applications and user interfaces.
• Develop in a cloud environment.
• Enhance software to improve efficiency.

Required Qualifications/Education:

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph
• Agile methodology from inception through integration and deployment
• Supporting production systems and assisting customers with timely issue resolution
• Gathering and identifying technical requirements
• Cloud infrastructure like Amazon Web Services or equivalent
• Developing JavaScript web services using Node.js to include Express.js applications and Micro Services
• Representational State Transfer (REST) APIs Spring Model View Controller (MVC) and Spring Boot
• Web Application Programming to include developing JavaScript HTML or CSS web user interfaces
• Web UI frameworks such as React or Extended JavaScript (Express.js)
• Developing Javabased APIs
• Deploying and maintaining APIs on AWS infrastructure
• BackEnd API integrating operating or deploying MySQL
• FrontEnd UI/UX JavaScript UI framework(s) such as Angular React or Vue

Nice to Have Qualifications:

• Establishing data performance and communications objectives for prototype systems
• Understanding of the Cloud environment
• Understanding data architecture
• Understanding of the application environment
• BackEnd SecDevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines
• BackEnd Container technologies such as Docker
• FrontEnd UX design frameworks such as Bootstrap or Material Design
