Our Client is a Waste Recycling and Rubber Manufacturing Company transforming s tyres into reusable rubber products. Established in 2018 in Nigeria our vision is to become the leading recycling and rubber manufacturing company in Nigeria. We aim to recycle 5 million s tyres annually tackling waste tyre management issues while promoting environmental sustainability.
We are looking for an energetic and resultsdriven Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead the growth of our innovative recycled tyre products. The BDM will be responsible for identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities developing and executing sales strategies and fostering strong relationships with customers both new and existing across the UK market. This role is integral to achieving our ambitious growth goals and supporting our commitment to sustainability and ecofriendly products.
1. Market Research & Strategy Development
Conduct indepth market research to uncover new customer segments and sales opportunities.
Develop strategies to expand into new markets and enhance the companys competitive edge.
Set and achieve ambitious sales targets across various channels (direct sales online partnerships).
Create and implement sales strategies to drive market penetration and customer acquisition.
2. Sales & Lead Generation
Qualify leads nurture relationships and convert leads into sales opportunities across all channels.
Negotiate and close sales contracts with new and existing customers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decisionmakers in target industries.
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations highlighting the benefits of recycled tyre products.
Travel as necessary to meet with prospective and current customers.
3. Omnichannel Sales Management
Manage and coordinate sales efforts across multiple online platforms (e.g. company website Amazon) to ensure consistent product availability pricing and fulfillment.
Oversee sales fulfillment and inventory management in Nigeria and abroad ensuring timely deliveries and high customer satisfaction.
4. Partnership & Customer Support
Identify and explore new sales channels and partnership opportunities in national and international markets.
Develop and maintain strategic partnerships and collaborations to drive growth and expand market reach.
Provide exceptional customer service and support for international clients ensuring all inquiries and issues are promptly addressed.
5. Internal Collaboration & Knowledge Management
Keep accurate and uptodate records of sales customer interactions and performance metrics.
Contribute to the development of marketing materials and sales collateral.
Stay informed about industry trends regulations and competitor activity particularly in the recycled tyre product sector.
6. CrossDepartment Collaboration
Work collaboratively with production marketing and other internal teams to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing or a related field (preferred).
23 years of experience in business development or sales with a proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
Experience with omnichannel sales (including online platforms) and B2B sales environments.
Strong communication presentation and interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fastpaced environment.
Knowledge of the international market in industries such as construction or landscaping (a plus).
Experience with recycled or sustainable products is a plus.
The BDM will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) providing regular updates on market research sales strategies lead generation customer relationship management inventory control partnership development and customer support efforts.
