Civil Engineering II

AECOM Technical Services Inc. has multiple openings for a Civil Engineering II to be based in Indianapolis IN.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform design calculations supporting plan development.
• Solve constructionrelated design issues.
• Participate in internal meetings to discuss the scope and establish clear project scope.
• Transform the preliminary design sketches to a detailed design model.
• Prepare pay item estimates and prepare construction cost estimate.
• Perform detailed structural models of proposed designs.
• Contract Package.
• Write project specific specifications.
• Produce detailed Bill of Quantities.
• Perform roadway construction engineering and participate in site visits.
• Attend site technical meetings.
• May telecommute.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

Candidate must have a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Architecture Construction Management or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in an engineering related occupation.

Position requires:

1. Delivering transportation projects;
2. MicroStation and InRoads;
3. Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel and PowerPoint;
4. Gathering and correlating engineering data using established and welldefined procedures;
5. Performing engineering assignments involving geometric calculations for horizontal and vertical design roadside safety design calculations and drainage design including storm sewer and detention design and quantity computations; and
6. Proposing approaches to solve problems encountered using modifications of standard engineering procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
