Turner & Townsendis looking for aDocument Controls Managerto manage document control processes and archival of construction documentation for large scale construction projects. This individual should have prior experience with indirect or direct people management.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining document control processes assuring document control cataloging change control and archival requirements are met for the owner operator.
- Support the workflow and delivery of required documents for a capital project overseeing the flow and management of documents from the PMC and other sources.
- Manage interfaces with all parties involved with the PMCs EDMS ensuring the workflows and distribution matrices are managed for accurate fast and efficient information sharing. Identify and mitigate obstacles as necessary.
- Develop and maintain the project SharePoint based system ensuring necessary documentation is managed properly.
- Manage transmittals from PMCs EDMS coordinate workflow responses for the WLNG team and other associated tasks.
- Trains team members in processes and document control software as necessary.
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Project/Program Specific:
- The role would be DM support to the clients Projects team. You will utilize SDX (Hexigon Product) as our DM system.
- The role would be to support Project Engineers when requesting new documents be created in SDX (theyre actually created offshore).
- Interfacing with the offshore DM team will be critical.
- Running reports in SDX to ensure that reviews have happened.
- Assisting with Document Review closeouts document checkouts and checkins and other DM tasks.
- The role will be site based on a 980 schedule meaning everyother Friday is off. Theres also the potential to work for home 2 to 3 days a week with the expectation of being on site F2F when needed.
- The role will report to the Project Services Manager for SPM.
- Potential for this person to build/expand the role going forward.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 57 years of applicable experience.
- Fully versed with using an EDMS system.
- Experience with Aconex is highly preferable as well as with SharePoint.
- Prior people management experience.
- Proven track record of successful procurement and supply chain oversight.
- Effectively communicates complex results and recommendations in a dynamic environment.
- Detail oriented with the ability to work with speed and accuracy.
- Ability to investigate complex issues and conduct root cause analysis.
- Passion for creating innovative approaches to solve abstract business problems.
- Excellent communication skills.
