Job Description Business Dev Leader
Location: Delhi
Wadhwani foundation is on a mission to create millions of jobs through skilling entrepreneurship and digital transformation. Micro Entrepreneurship is a new program to create a pool of micro entrepreneurs within the industries of Agri/ Commerce ( Phase 1)/Travel/Financial Services and other sectors ( Phase 2) which would further create millions of jobs. The role of Business Development leader is within the micro entrepreneurship vertical which works closely with government organisations like Central Government state governments ONDC SFAC NABARD etc to co create programs and train participants who aspire to be microentrepreneurs.
Objectives of the role
- 1215 years of experience of Account Management/Business Development in ecommerce/Agri Tech industries with an experience/ comfort of dealing with government officials/organisations & Mission aligned companies.
- Managing and growing relationships with key clients/partners including but not limited to Central and State officials SFAC NABARD FPOs/ CBBOs in the Agri sector and ONDC/ Network Partners/Platforms/Sellers etc engaging proactively to understand their goals and challenges and offering solutions that align with their needs.
- High Energy Level Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
- Goal Focussed Aligned with deliverables on a weekly/monthly and quarterly level
- Comfortable with Data Handling related with the sectors at the macro and micro level. Familiar with tableau/Excel/PPT
- Passion for the sector and has a long term perspective. Has demonstrated significant value creation in previous roles through long term contribution. Has a perspective on India growth story and the role of nonprofits in it
- Flexibility to adapt and learn within an incubation program
Key Deliverables
Identify opportunities of creating microentrepreneurs within the sector and open doors for the foundation. These micro entrepreneurs would help create millions of jobs over the next few years.
Should be able to create selfserve channels for skilling and training of micro entrepreneurs. Wadhwani foundation is in the business of skilling in various sectors leveraging the core proposition of AI based learning.
Can build a path to job creation through the engagement with key stakeholders.
- Strong leadership capability in building and managing highperforming teams. Promote a positive diverse and inclusive culture aligned with foundations values.
- Excellent collaboration skills with crossfunctional teams Highly organized with strong written and verbal communication abilities detailoriented adaptable and able to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
