Sr. Engineer I/II Reliability

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Sr. Engineer I/II Reliability to lead the implementation and enhancement of cuttingedge quality and reliability systems in support of R&D initiatives for instrument development. This role involves rigorous design reviews process evaluations and testing regimens to ensure product reliability quality and compliance throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
You will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to execute key testing activities develop automated test systems and continuously improve product robustness. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise handson experience in reliability engineering and a proactive approach to problemsolving.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and enhance stateoftheart quality and reliability systems to support R&D objectives for instruments.
- Critically review product designs processes and testing regimens to maintain a strong focus on reliability quality and compliance throughout NPI.
- Partner with NPI teams to identify and execute preverification characterization testing for continuous product improvement and robustness.
- Plan develop and execute various testing activities including automated test scripts LabView programs robotic programs HALT ALT environmental transportation life testing PCBA stress screening engineering tests and V&V.
- Ensure timely completion of testing while providing ongoing feedback to development teams for continuous design enhancements.
- Apply analytical techniques such as statistical analysis tolerancing/simulation stress testing reliability assessment and measurement science to support NPI Design for Reliability (DfR) objectives.
- Collaborate with technical transfer functions to address design assembly supplier or production issues encountered during NPI.
- Work with project teams to ensure Design History File (DHF) reports verifications and validations are compliant welldocumented and based on solid scientific principles.
Required Skills & Qualifications - Bachelors degree in Engineering (Industrial Mechanical or Electrical); MS and ASQ certifications in Quality Engineering and Reliability Engineering are strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in R&D with a primary focus on reliability and quality engineering activities (2 years with a Masters degree).
- Proven expertise in reliability engineering principles including test automation and programming using tools like LabView Python and R.
- Familiarity with GMP/QSR regulations and statistical methods.
- Knowledge of embedded systems communication protocols (e.g. CAN bus and Ethernet) and mechanical electrical or optical design principles.
- Practical experience with fixturing lab testing methods and/or equipment validation.
- Experience in process/product validation transitioning products from R&D to manufacturing and working within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong learning agility and problemsolving skills.
- Fluent in English with the ability to prepare detailed technical reports and interim presentations.
Preferred Skills - Handson experience in executing HALT ALT and life testing.
- Familiarity with stress testing methodologies and simulation tools.
- Knowledge of manufacturing environments and crossfunctional collaboration
