Job IBM AIX Administrator
Location PAN India
Experience 10 15 Years

Requirements:
- Bachelors Science degree in computer science or equivalent field required.
- 15 years of Operating System administration or equivalent experience required.
- AIX SME.
- UNIDATA SME.
- MPE/iX Operating System.
- Demonstrated experience in building tuning and administering AIX and POWERHA.
- Developing Time finder backup scripts.
- HPUX hands on experience as Secondary skill set will be added advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in systems and database integration support from OS standpoint.
- Experience with OS infrastructure supporting patient care financial and administrative applications preferred.
- Extensive experience migrating applications and data installations from other Unix platforms to AIX platform.
- Extensive experience in virtualization and VIO servers SEA NPIV SRIOV etc. to Extensive experience in virtualization and VIO servers SEA NPIV SRIOV vNIC failover etc. Knowledge of 802.1Q encapsulation for VLAN tagging.
- Extensive experience in Unix and Linux shell scripting.
- Good experience in V2P and P2V to Assess capacity on the managed system and make recommendations to add capacity by adding resources or reconfiguring the managed system.
- Excellent knowledge on building of LPARs in P7 P8 and P9 servers with virtualization and clustering.
- Monitor IBM notifications for critical updated for AIX VIOS POWER firmware etc. Test and deploy HIPER fixes in a timely manner.
- Storage migration between different storage arrays.
- Hardware migration from P6 P7 to P8 & P9.
- Good experience in V2P and P2V.
- POWERHA migration from 6.1 and 7.1 to 7.2.
- NIMADM migration from AIX 6.1/7.1 to 7.2.
- Experience with BMC Patrol Strong understanding of LVM LPM Virtualization concepts HP Service Manager Patch Management Capacity Planning
- Performance Management Scripting Release Management and basic understanding of ITIL incident management knowledge is highly desired.
- Understands the account landscape broadly and the commercial principles of engagement Excellent consultative and communication skills execution excellence analytical ability client centricity ability to work effectively with business users and internal accounts peers and vendors. Learning agility.
- NIM administration and usage.
- Oracle RAC Administration from operating system perspective.
- Disaster recovery experience.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining AIX Operating Systems configuration patching implementation deployment build and endtoend maintenance.
- Perform server software and hardware installations and upgrades monitor analyze and troubleshoot system environments maintain appropriate version control administration of scripts for file manipulation and programming access to multiple environments; synchronization of data and programs across environments; perform or assist in scripting programming interfacing and migration activities.
- Responsible for supporting underlying OS infrastructure for mirroring synchronization of data and programs across various environments including but not limited to DB (Oracle) and Middleware environments.
- Additional responsibilities include storage management security and audit management on call coverage and other duties as assigned.
