The Motor Accident Insurance Commission (MAIC) Griffith University Road Safety Research Collaboration involves road safety collaborative projects with industry government and other road safety stakeholders. This role involves working as part of a research team to successfully gather vital work within the domain of fleet safety which includes both light and heavy vehicles as well as research in motorcycle safety.
The Research Assistant position provides major support in fieldbased research and laboratory work within traffic psychology road safety behaviours and relevant research duties such as data collection data storage data analysis reports and scholarly articles that the team may require. This role will also provide administrative assistance to the Principal Research Fellow and senior staff members of the MAIC Griffith University Road Safety Research Collaboration as well as supporting the research group activities field work and laboratory training.
This is a full time fixed term (3 years) position. The role is based at Griffith University Mt Gravatt campus; however the successful candidate will be expected to do some teaching and/or other work as directed at other Griffith University campuses. It is expected that the successful candidate will be available to attend campus in person as a normal requirement of the role.
We are also open for the role to be a job share arrangement at 50% part time basis.
Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be Research Assistant grade 1 range $73783 per annum 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $86326 per annum.
The full time equivalent base salary will be Research Assistant grade 2 range $82278 per annum 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $96265 per annum.
