Job Description

Asbury Methodist Village is seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRN SpeechLanguage Pathologist (SLP) to join our interdisciplinary team. Be a part of our experienced team of rehabilitation professionals who are committed to helping each patient recover the strengths skills independence and confidence to return home to family and friends and an active life. Our speech therapists provide comprehensive evaluation treatment and support to our residents in a caring professional environment. This position offers flexibility with hours based on patient needs and availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations to assess speech language cognitivecommunication and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide therapy and interventions to improve residents communication and swallowing abilities.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals including physicians nurses and occupational therapists to ensure holistic care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and therapy sessions.
  • Participate in care conferences and provide updates on patients status and progress.
  • Educate residents families and staff on communication and swallowing techniques.

Qualifications :

  • Masters Degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current and valid state licensure in Maryland.
  • Previous experience in a longterm care skilled nursing or CCRC setting is a plus.
  • Strong communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
