Job Description
- Assess and interpret data to recommend appropriate speechlanguage services.
- Design and implement evidencebased therapy sessions tailored to individual student needs.
- Conduct speech and language screenings for students with suspected communication challenges.
- Provide consultations to educators and families to help integrate communication strategies into daily activities.
- Support IEP development by creating meaningful goals and ensuring student placement follows proper procedures.
- Collaborate with teachers parents administrators and other professionals to align speechlanguage goals with classroom and home environments.
Requirements
- Illinois SLPA license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Previous experience in a school setting (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and follow guidance from the supervising SLP.
- Associate s or Bachelors degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
