Job Summary
The Pump Repair Specialist & Rebuild Specialist is responsible for diagnosing repairing and rebuilding various types of pumps including centrifugal positive displacement diaphragm and submersible pumps. The role requires indepth knowledge of pump systems strong mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and restore equipment to optimal working conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough inspections of pumps and related systems to identify issues.
- Diagnose mechanical electrical and hydraulic problems affecting pump performance.
- Use diagnostic tools gauges and instruments to evaluate equipment conditions.
- Disassemble pumps and assess components for wear damage or defects.
- Repair or replace damaged parts such as impellers seals bearings shafts and casings.
- Perform precision machining welding and fabrication as needed for repairs.
- Completely rebuild pumps to factory specifications or client requirements.
- Reassemble pumps ensuring alignment tolerances and proper functionality.
- Test repaired or rebuilt pumps under various operating conditions to verify performance.
- Document test results and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with customers engineers and supervisors to determine repair needs and timelines.
- Provide technical advice and recommendations for pump system improvements.
- Train team members and customers on proper pump handling maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Adhere to company safety protocols and regulatory standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly.
- Complete job orders and maintain accurate records of repairs materials and labor
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- 3 years of experience in pump repair maintenance or related mechanical field.
- OSHA 30
