Overview:
The Regulatory Compliance Technician is responsible for performing technical duties inspecting testing sampling and monitoring of the irrigation and wash water systems and collecting residue samples to ensure compliance with local state and federal mandated requirements.
Heres what youll do:
- The employee must collect water and plant tissue samples for microbial and chemical evaluation across California farming operations on a fixed schedule. They must verify and maintain sample integrity and chain of custody requirements. They must follow strict quality assurance protocols to ensure proper sample collection and identification prior to delivery to the laboratory.
- They must transport samples to laboratory arrange pickup or drop samples at designated shipping locations for testing
- They must record test results in central repository and accurately report results to the appropriate Supervisors
- They must assist in maintaining sampling plans in response to a changing environment and regulatory requirements
- They must communicate with Farming management about changes in water sources
- They must maintain knowledge of local state and federal food safety regulations pertaining to water and residue sampling and testing
- They must assist with additional food safety and agronomy related tasks as needed
