Construction Manager Aviation

AECOM is seeking a Construction Manager (Aviation) to be based at the DFW Airport in Dallas TX.  Responsible for the management of all constructionphase services for one or more aviation and/or airfield projects in accordance with the written project/construction documents and established policies and procedures.

Summary of Responsibilities:  

• Oversee project construction contractor(s) through the construction process and ensure the timely completion of all construction phase support services in accordance with the written project and construction documents
• Oversee and ensure the adequate inspection by DFWDCC and/or project inspection staff of all construction activities
• Coordinate and schedule construction activities inspections and testing with contractors tenants customers owners and other stakeholders
• Review and verify progress payments of construction contractors
• Supervise and ensure the correction of nonconforming work
• Develop and recommend in the proposed settlement of change orders claims and revisions to the construction contract schedule and budget
• Evaluate and provide recommendations to senior management and/or DFWDCC for changes and/or modifications to the construction contractor scope of services

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

• BA/BS 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• A Motor Vehicle Check will be required for this position

Preferred Qualification:

• Proven track record of managing multimilliondollar airfield projects including taxiways aprons and runways
• Certifications: PMP LEED or CCM preferred
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6 Procore etc.) and MS Office Suite
• Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations airport operations and construction safety standards
  • Strong understanding of designbuild CMAR and other delivery methods
