Job Description
AECOM is seeking an EntryLevel Structural Engineer to be based in New York NY.
We take on the most complex challenges and pioneer innovative iconic solutions that push the limits of whats possible the worlds longest cablestayed bridge recordbreaking sports events the largest greenfield port development megaproject lifesustaining and disaster recovery programs and the tallest tower in the Western Hemisphere.
On projects spanning transportation buildings water governments energy and the environment we deliver professional services throughout the project lifecycle.
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Develops and refines critical analytical and design competencies essential for structural engineering projects.
- Executes complex engineering design tasks under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
- Produces precise designs intricate calculations detailed sketches diagrams schematic drawings and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
- Gathers and conducts thorough analysis of critical data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
- Utilizes advanced computer software as a tool for solving sophisticated engineering problems.
- Adheres strictly to established budgets and schedules under supervision ensuring project milestones are met with utmost professionalism.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Structural Engineering or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Software skills: MATLAB Autodesk Revit MicroStation STAAD Microsoft Office and/or AutoCAD.
- Previous internship experience within a structural engineering discipline.
- Masters degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Experience working with bridges in the NY Metro area.
