Your Career 

Palo Alto Networks SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) group is looking for a seasoned and accomplished QA Manager with experience in validating networking & security features across different h/w platforms in the SDWAN team. You will be part of a worldclass software engineering team that works on various groundbreaking technologies in the SDWAN area. You will work with a multifunctional team of engineers solving interesting problems.

We expect officebased employees to be in the office four days per week with one day working from where they choose. We believe being together facilitates casual conversations and those magic moments where we can work on issues and ideas informally. These moments build capability and deepen trusted relationships and allow our people to feel safe in taking risks and being disruptive. Like so many companies we are working through the details and things could change . but in general if a role is deemed officebased we want our teams to be together four days per week. 

Your Impact

• Manage lead mentor and coach one or more engineering teams.
• Be accountable for the engineering quality of the subject matter areas your teams are responsible for.
• Constantly striving to improve productivity and efficiency you will set high standards for all products being developed now and in the future
• Work closely with Dev QA SRE DevOps Product Line Managers Program Managers Engineering Operations Support and other business units to ensure the timely delivery of highquality products
• Work closely with team leads and architects to create good test strategy/planning that meets business requirements and aligns with best practices.
• Influence the development of new products and testing methods by reviewing Product Requirement Documents Functional Specification documents and test plans with a discerning eye for technical accuracy and consistency from inception to final delivery
• Ability to translate technology into business value
• Working in conjunction with management and colleagues define document and demonstrate good software quality & automation engineering practices.
• Stay uptodate on new technology changes and  features to provide recommendations for process improvements and feature adoption
• Work in a fastpaced collaborative and challenging environment with a focus on driving best practices in the Platform Team as well as groups outside the organization
• Facilitate project delivery from your teams working in conjunction with product managers development managers analysts business partners and system administrators.
• Plan drive and execute businesscritical custom apps and networking features roadmap 
• Facilitate production support affecting the system areas your teams are responsible for. 
• Identify risks and prepare mitigation plans.
• Mentor and coach junior team members and drive best practices and knowledge across the various teams

Qualifications :

Your Experience 

• BE/B.tech technical degree or relevant tech qualification
• 16 years of experience in networking products testing like SDWAN Routers Switches & Firewalls and automation using Python.
• Minimum 2 years of team management experience
• Experience in SDWAN products is a plus
• Expertise in Test Planning Strategy and Automation
• Excellent knowledge of L2/L3 protocols testing methodologies and processes
• Excellent knowledge of Linuxbased operating systems and traffic generator tools like Spirent Ixia BreakingPoint Tcpreplay hping iperf etc.
• Outstanding troubleshooting skills including understanding protocols analyzing cli output debugging logs capturing packets etc.
• Good knowledge of standard TCP/IP protocols such as ARP IP ICMP TCP UDP & IPSec VPNs
• Good knowledge of Enterprise routing protocols such as BGP OSPF & EIGRP etc.
• Good knowledge of Networking features like Multicast IPv6 DNS NAT & DHCP
• Good knowledge of Performance/Scale characterization of networking products
• Excellent in building Project planningJIRA dashboards and other test metrics
• Excellent project leadership skills with a strong track record of successfully delivering on commitments
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Exceptional analytical and problemsolving skills. Strong architectural skills on the platform(s) your teams work on is a strong advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
