Job Description
Robotics Engineer
The Robotics Engineer plays a vital role in designing developing modifying and implementing engineered solutions for industrial automation systems using various robots and automation packages.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure robotic performance meets the needs of internal and external customers.
- Program robots vision systems and related equipment based on functionality requirements.
- Develop and review Machine Functionality Documents with customers detailing intended functions.
- Program PLCs and HMIs in alignment with functionality specifications.
- Define and document I/O lists for control systems.
- Debug and troubleshoot automated control systems and machine functions.
- Support machine runoff at company or customer locations and assist in gaining customer approval.
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five years experience in Allen Bradley Siemens and robot programming (offline and teach pendant development).
- Proficiency with Fanuc Staubli and Kuka robots; familiarity with Motoman is a plus.
- Strong ability to develop complex control systems and architectures.
- Skilled in troubleshooting machinery and reading electrical and pneumatic schematics.
- Solid understanding of machine safety standards.
- Proficiency in technical writing including creating PLC code and ladder logic.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- At least three years of experience in the machine automation field.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% for commissioning runoff and service activities.
