Job Description
Location: Santa Ana CA
Employment Type: Contract
Pay Rate: $80/hour
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SCADA Engineer with a strong command of PowerOn Reliance and C programming to join our Clients team. This role is essential in designing implementing and maintaining cuttingedge SCADA systems for the power and utility sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SCADA system integration cybersecurity best practices and the ability to design complex logic and control algorithms.
Key Responsibilities:
SCADA System Design: Develop and implement SCADA systems tailored to client needs leveraging PowerOn Reliance software and advanced C programming techniques.
Integration Expertise: Seamlessly integrate SCADA systems with field devices such as PLCs RTUs and IEDs to ensure high functionality and reliability.
Custom Development: Create and customize HMI screens logic algorithms and system functionalities using PowerOn Reliance and C.
System Optimization & Maintenance: Conduct routine diagnostics perform upgrades and troubleshoot system issues to ensure peak performance and minimize downtime.
Cybersecurity Implementation: Safeguard SCADA systems by applying cybersecurity best practices including secure coding in C regular risk assessments and threat mitigation strategies.
Documentation & Training: Maintain comprehensive documentation including system architecture and user manuals. Train endusers for efficient SCADA system operation.
Project Collaboration: Work closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
Additional Information:
This is a midseniorlevel role requiring candidates with proven handson experience.
Relocation assistance is not provided for this role.
Requirements
Must Have:
Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Science or a related field. Relevant certifications are an added advantage.
Experience: Proven experience working as a SCADA Engineer with a focus on PowerOn Reliance and handson experience with C programming.
SCADA Knowledge: Strong knowledge of SCADA concepts protocols (such as DNP3 Modbus) and communication technologies.
Technical Expertise: Proficiency in configuring and programming PowerOn Reliance applications developing HMI screens and designing complex logic and control algorithms.
System Integration: Experience integrating SCADA systems with PLCs RTUs and IEDs using C programming techniques.
Cybersecurity: Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices for SCADA systems and ability to apply secure coding practices in C.
Skills: Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in crossfunctional teams.
Project Management: Project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
