Job Description
A leading intellectual property law firm in Chicago is seeking a skilled and motivated Lateral Trademark Associate to join its collaborative Trademark Practice Group. This role is ideal for attorneys with 5 years of trademarkfocused legal experience who are eager to grow their careers in a firm that values professional development teamwork and excellence.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
A minimum of 5 years of trademarkfocused legal experience.
A license to practice law in Illinois or eligibility to sit for the Illinois bar.
Strong academic credentials legal reasoning and problemsolving skills.
Proven experience in trademark prosecution clearance searches infringement litigation and portfolio management.
Additional expertise in anticounterfeiting domain name disputes advertising and sweepstakes counseling and copyright issues is highly valued.
Excellent communication organizational and mentoring skills.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a wide range of trademark matters including prosecution enforcement and litigation.
Provide strategic counsel to clients on domestic and international trademark portfolios.
Handle trademark opposition proceedings anticounterfeiting litigation and domain name disputes.
Supervise and mentor junior associates within the practice group.
Participate in team and individual business development efforts.
