You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic Claims Consultancy Director to establish and lead a new Claims Consultancy service within our construction consultancy business. The successful candidate will be responsible for the establishment and growth of this new service which will provide claims preparation and rebuttal support to a range of clients across the construction sector. The role will involve driving business development managing the overall business operations and delivering exceptional claims consultancy services as this new department grows. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in construction claims management exceptional leadership skills and the ability to build and maintain client relationships. This role can be based in Glasgow or Edinburgh.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
Develop and implement a strategic plan to establish and grow the Claims Consultancy service.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction industry.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients industry partners and stakeholders.
Generated leads for new business and followup on leads generated by other Directors within the business.
Represent the firm at industry events conferences and networking activities to promote the Claims Consultancy service.
Business Management:
Oversee the daytoday operations of the Claims Consultancy service including acting as lead on key assignments.
Adapt T&A operational processes and procedures to suit the Claims services.
Implement strong financial and contract management for consultancy assignments ensuring financial targets are met.
Recruit mentor and manage a team of claims consultants and support staff.
Implement best practices and processes to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
Service Delivery:
Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on construction claims dispute resolution and other contractual matters.
Lead the preparation and submission of claims counterclaims and other related documentation.
Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of claims to determine their validity and potential impact.
Negotiate and settle claims on behalf of clients ensuring favourable outcomes.
Stay uptodate with industry trends regulations and legal developments related to construction claims.
Qualifications :
Degree in Construction Management Quantity Surveying Law or a related field.
Professional member of the RICS (MRICS or FRICS)
Other qualifications such as LLM FCIArb or similar are highly desirable.
Extensive experience in construction claims management dispute resolution and contract administration.
Proven track record of business development and client relationship management.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent analytical negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and make strategic decisions.
