This 4 6 month Coop position is responsible for collaborating with the Marketing team to create and support the execution of Farm Boys social media strategy develop brand awareness and generate inbound traffic to encourage product awareness. Reporting to the Manager Social Media this position will collaborate with our Procurement Public Relations Community Engagement and Customer Care teams to support their respective missions ensuring consistency in voice and cultivating a social media referral network. The performance of the duties must ensure a quality service approach to all employees customers and suppliers. All responsibilities must be performed in a manner consistent with the Farm Boy Way.
Major Responsibilities:
- Identify trends and creative content on social networks including: TikTok Instagram Facebook Pinterest YouTube and LinkedIn.
- Collaborate with our Marketing team to brainstorm creative content ideas and strategies.
- Assist with social media content development and creation by attending community engagement events and store visits to capture highquality photos and videos of our products.
- Assist with writing captivating captions and hashtags in our brand voice.
- Assist with scheduling posts across our platforms manually posting when needed.
- Support with monitoring and engaging with our social media community by responding to comments interacting with followers tracking and engaging with usergenerated content (UGC) etc.
- Keep track of weekly metrics across social platforms and inform best and leastperforming posts.
- Collaborate with our agency partners and stakeholders to support the coordination of video and photo shoots.
- May be requested to undertake other related duties on a periodic basis.
Qualifications :
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Marketing Communications Digital Media or a related field.
- Must be socially savvy with a passion for food and strong understanding of various social media platforms their respective users and how to engage users to foster and maintain the positive customer relationship.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with business to consumer experience and ability to effectively communicate information and ideas to build and maintain relationships.
- Creative mindset with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced event setting.
- Photography and videography skills considered an asset.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite considered an asset.
- Flexible schedule and ability to travel including availability during evenings and weekends.
Work & Sensory Environment:
- Sitting for long periods of time at the workstation.
- Lack of control over pace due to multiple and/or tight deadlines beyond ones control.
- Possible exposure to eye strain from computer terminals.
- Required to travel regularly between Farm Boy stores and other event locations.
