Job Description
As an Accounting Officer you will collaborate with the Global Finance Department supporting key leaders in payroll processing statutory compliance and financial management. A local resident with expertise in online financial systems you ll play a vital role in ensuring seamless financial operations regulatory adherence and overall efficiency in a global business environment.
Job Overview
Shift: Day Shift (7 AM 4 PM semiflexi)
Work setup: Hybrid Kuala Lumpur
- Oversee and execute monthly payroll processes accurately and on time for all employees.
- Verify payroll computations and ensure all statutory deductions (EPF SOCSO PCB) comply with Malaysian laws.
- Manage online financial systems and access controls to maintain security and data integrity (NetSuite Accounting Software).
- Prepare and maintain financial documentation including journals ledgers and balance sheets.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and statutory requirements.
- Assist in preparing and analyzing financial statements and management reports.
- Liaise with People and Culture and relevant departments to resolve payrollrelated issues.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure financial and statutory compliance.
- Stay updated with Malaysian financial and statutory regulations and implement necessary changes.
- Support the Global Finance Team with various accounting tasks as needed.
Requirements
The Qualifications We Seek
Required Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in accounting with a focus on tax payroll and statutory compliance in Malaysia.
- Strong understanding of online financial systems and processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite or Oracle and Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
- High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Strong organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal in English).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and highpressure situations without compromising quality and attention to detail.
- Highest level of integrity and transparency.
- Trustworthy and discreet when handling confidential information.
Core Competencies:
- Communication Skills: Advanced professionallevel business writing grammar and oral communication skills; capable of conducting analyses and preparing presentations.
- Leadership/Influence: Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work effectively.
