Job Description
Skill: Kafka Sr. Dev Lead
- Experience on Kafka install from Scratch to Prod environments of all the components in both the Confluent and opensource Kafka.
- Manage largescale multinodes Kafka cluster environments.
- Hands on all Kafka environment builds including design capacity planning cluster setup performance tuning and ongoing monitoring. Performed highlevel daytoday operational maintenance support and upgrades for the Kafka Cluster.
- Experience on software development methodologies including agile and extreme programming.
- Applying best architectural Kafka Active MQ MQSeries WebSphere WebLogic.
- Migrating experience on Confluent Kafka upgrade.
- Experience on rolling upgrade of the servers to introduce new Kafka libraries during the migration process.
- Hands on with team to upgrade Kafka clients with new Apache and Confluent Kafka libraries.
- Monitor the upgraded Kafka cluster with Confluent Control Center AppDynamics and Grafana to ensure stability and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead reliability and maintainability reviews of various Infra technologies and services.
- Recommend and develop cost estimates for solutions that will improve our infrastructure reliability.
- Drive our Disaster Recovery Program including working with our BCP team to accomplish complex tasks through influence.
- Develop and maintain the ITSCM process in accordance with the overall business continuity management requirements.
- Should be an excellent Team player selfstarter multi tasked detail oriented.
- Excellent Communication and Technical writing skills.
- Should be able to work with people (Business IT and QA) in requirement gathering sessions/workshops.
