Job Description
Position: AutoCAD Checker (Steel Drawing Checker)
Location: Yuba City CA (Hybrid)
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Review and mark up detailed shop and erection drawings independently.
- Ensure accuracy completeness and compliance with project specifications.
- Communicate project details and revisions to management and steel detailers.
- Maintain and update project files including repeat designs and necessary alterations.
- In this role they will be checking up to 40 drawings a day and working on 7 to 8 projects a day.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Structural Steel or Miscellaneous Metal Detailing and Checking.
- Ability to read and interpret contract drawings shop drawings erection drawings and project specifications.
- Experience with 3D modeling software such as Tekla and SDS/2.
- Strong knowledge of Structural Steel and miscellaneous metal fabrication processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with project teams.
