The National Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve revenue profitability and market share objectives. This role requires a dynamic leader who can develop and implement strategic sales plans nurture client relationships and drive business growth in the public and private sectors. This role reports to the General Manager
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute the company s national sales strategy to achieve growth targets.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks.
- Set and monitor sales goals forecasts and budgets in alignment with company objectives.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead coach and motivate the sales team to deliver exceptional performance.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide training to enhance skills and product knowledge.
- Recruit onboard and retain top talent in sales and account management.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients in both public and private sectors.
- Contribute to the tender process proposals and negotiations to help secure contracts and drive revenue.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and address concerns promptly to maintain loyalty.

Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with the Managing Director Product Managers and Service Team to align sales strategies with operational capabilities.
- Provide regular sales reports including performance metrics pipeline updates and forecasts to senior management.
- Participate in strategic decisionmaking as part of the leadership team.
Market Expansion
- Identify new market segments and opportunities for business development.
- Support the expansion of the CT and MRI product portfolio in line with the company s growth strategy.
- Drive initiatives to increase the company s footprint in veterinary and radiology markets.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achievement of national sales targets and profitability goals.
- Growth in market share across product portfolios.
- Performance and retention of the sales team.
- Success in securing private sector contracts
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or diploma in Business Marketing or a related field.
- 8 years of sales experience with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role preferably in the medical equipment industry.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience with government tenders and private sector healthcare clients is advantageous.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to translate strategies into actionable plans.
- Indepth knowledge of the diagnostic imaging market and its dynamics.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
