Job Description

Our client requires the services of a Technology Integrator (Expert) Midrand/Menlyn/Rosslyn/Home Office rotation

POSITION: Contract until December 2027

EXPERIENCE: 8 Years related working experience

COMMENCEMENT: 01 April 2025

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • IT Degree and/or relevant qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years of IT experience

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Software Development Expertise: Proven experience in software development with a strong understanding of modern practices.
  • DevOps Knowledge: Deep expertise in DevOps principles practices and toolchains.
  • Influential Communication: Exceptional ability to persuade guide and inspire stakeholders and teams.
  • Analytical Mindset: Proficient in data analytics to extract actionable insights and drive improvements.
  • Strategic Problem Solving: Skilled at applying structure to ambiguous challenges and delivering practical solutions under tight deadlines.
  • Agile Proficiency: Comprehensive knowledge of Agile ways of working principles and Scrum practices.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to manage relationships and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
  • Collaboration Tools: Proficient in platforms such as Jira Confluence and other work management tools.
  • Technical Visionary: Forwardthinking approach to evolving technical needs and optimising the SDLC.
  • Technical Strategy Development: Ability to craft and communicate longterm technical roadmaps balancing innovation with business objectives.
  • Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter

ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS

  • UX Design and a usercentred approach to technical enablement.
  • Knowledge of architecture principles and best practices.
  • ITIL knowledge.
  • Familiarity with GROUP systems and processes such as AWM ConnectIT
  • Marketing acumen to support enablement initiatives.

ROLE:

  • Solve Technical Challenges
    • Provide strategic technical support to enhance ATC Tool adoption and integration across teams.
    • Identify analyse and propose solutions to address systemic technical bottlenecks within the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Toolchain Support
    • Deliver overarching technical guidance to enhance ATC Tool usage.
    • Provide visibility into areas of duplicate efforts in the Hub enabling informed decisionmaking and increased efficiency.
    • Standardise toolchains and workflows to enhance efficiency and collaboration across teams.
  • Implement and Refine Technical Standards
    • Define and advocate for standardised technical practices across the Hub ensuring alignment with global initiatives.
    • Support the identification of existing horizontal structures globally such as COPs and COEs and contribute to creating a structured standardised approach for their implementation within the Hub.
    • Collaborate with FG24 to refine the software development lifecycle and toolchain vision for the next 5 10 years.
    • Be a core member of the FG9Z Tech Circle to drive change at an organisational level.
    • Contribute to the technical vision for the Hub ensuring alignment with organisational goals and technological advancements.
  • Developer Enablement
    • Align with the Developer Experience (DX) team to drive a seamless and standardised developer onboarding experience while also championing the adoption of the Developer Home initiative.
    • Support the Developer Home initiative by contributing technical expertise.
    • Drive the identification of highimpact training topics and oversee the creation of trainings via MyTMS.
  • AI and Dashboard Initiatives
    • Assist with steering the development of an AWM maturity dashboard.
    • Support the rollout of AI4DevOps JoyCode and other transformative AI initiatives across the Hub ensuring technical alignment and seamless integration into existing workflows.
