Job Description
As an Order Entry Coordinator you will ensure timely data entry of sales and modifications into the company s accounting software issue purchase orders to vendors and act as the vital link between the company and the Purchasing Agent. You ll also focus on achieving goals monitored through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Job Overview
Employment type: Indefinite Term Type Contract
Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST Weekends Off
Work setup: Remote/Work from Home
Your Daily Tasks
Data Entry:
- Enter sales/orders within 24 hours of normal notifications.
- Enter sales/orders within 2 hours of urgent ("HOT") notifications.
- Maintain and update data entries as required.
- Update purchase orders (POs) and order quantities to resolve discrepancies when orders arrive at the warehouse.
- Follow up on notifications that cannot be entered due to various issues.
- Update ERP software with modifications or changes as necessary.
Communication and Coordination:
- Serve as the liaison between internal teams ensuring seamless communication.
- Notify relevant teams and distribution lists of changes to orders such as cost or quantity discrepancies.
- Provide backfill support for the Purchasing team when required.
Goal Achievement:
- Meet quarterly priority and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals.
- Contribute to achieving departmental and companywide critical numbers.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate reports on order status sales trends and other relevant metrics as required.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in order entry procedures.
Requirements
The Qualifications We Seek
- Minimum 1 year of data entry experience preferably in the flooring or construction industry.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask stay organized and excel in a fastpaced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and order processing.
- Enthusiastic energetic detailoriented problemsolving and hardworking individual.
