Job Description
Were looking for Software engineer to join Procores Product & Technology Team.
Procore software solutions aim to improve the lives of everyone in construction and the people within Product & Technology are the driving force behind our innovative toprated global platform. Were a customercentric group that encompasses engineering product product design and data security and business systems.
In this role youll work closely with a dynamic engineering team to develop and maintain mission critical file services within our Construction Documents division. Your primary goal will be to write clean efficient code and help build scalable solutions that align with Procores technical and business objectives.
This position reports into a Senior Software Engineering Manager and will be based in our Bangalore office.
What youll do:
- Develop test and maintain code for software applications with a focus on quality performance and maintainability
- Work with senior engineers and product managers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Collaborate in code reviews and pair programming sessions to improve code quality and learn best practices
- Troubleshoot debug and resolve software defects ensuring a seamless user experience
- Contribute to backend development and infrastructure with mentorship and guidance from senior team members
- Write documentation for new and existing features ensuring clarity and consistency
- Participate in team meetings sprint planning and retrospectives to continuously improve development processes
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to contribute fresh ideas and approaches
What were looking for:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 02 years of experience in software development with a strong emphasis on coding skills in languages like Java Ruby Python or C#.
- Ability to write clean efficient and welldocumented code
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with version control tools (e.g. Git) and familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail with the ability to learn and adapt quickly
- Enthusiasm for backend technologies and willingness to gain experience in backend development
- Selfmotivated with a growth mindset and openness to feedback
