Job Description
We re seeking a detailoriented QA Test Analyst to join an innovative cybersecurity team in a parttime remote capacity. In this role you ll be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of a sophisticated SaaSbased cybersecurity product. You ll conduct thorough manual and black box testing collaborating with a distributed team of developers across Australia. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive manual and black box testing for new features and product releases ensuring the highest standards of quality for our cybersecurity solutions
- Meticulously document testing processes and findings providing clear and actionable insights to the development team
- Effectively communicate test results bugs and issues through various channels including chat email and JIRA
- Demonstrate strong time management skills while working autonomously on assigned tasks in an asynchronous environment
- Conduct thorough release testing to validate product functionality and maintain the integrity of our cybersecurity offerings
- Accurately replicate and document bugs providing detailed reports to facilitate efficient resolution by the development team
- Collaborate with a global team to continuously improve testing methodologies and product quality
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in software testing and cybersecurity to contribute innovative ideas to the testing process
Requirements
- 3 years of proven experience in QA testing for software companies preferably with exposure to cybersecurity products
- Excellent communication skills in English both written and verbal with the ability to articulate complex technical issues clearly
- Proficiency in using JIRA for task management and bug tracking
- Strong ability to work independently manage time effectively and thrive in a remote work environment
- Technical background or solid understanding of software development processes
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Basic understanding of .NET and Angular frameworks (preferred but not mandatory)
- Interest or experience in cybersecurity (a plus)
- Ability to work effectively across different time zones particularly with teams based in Australia
- Commitment to data security and confidentiality
- Selfmotivated with a proactive approach to problemsolving and continuous learning
