Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented Trust Consultant/Estate Administrator to join our legal team. The successful candidate will provide expert legal advice and services in the areas of trust management estate planning fiduciary compliance and asset protection. This role requires a strong understanding of trust law excellent client relationship skills and the ability to navigate complex legal and financial matters efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Trust Administration
Manage and oversee all aspects of trust administration including creation modification and termination of trusts.
Interpret and implement trust instruments in compliance with legal requirements and client intentions.
Serve as a liaison between trustees beneficiaries and other stakeholders.
Estate Planning
Advise clients on estate planning strategies asset protection and tax implications.
Draft wills trust agreements powers of attorney and other legal documents.
Ensure legal compliance with state and federal laws related to estate and trust management.
Will interpretation
Administration of estates deceased curatorship and guardianship.
Reporting deceased estates
Drafting Liquidation and Distribution accounts
Legal Representation
Represent clients in trustrelated disputes including litigation or alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
Provide counsel to trustees and beneficiaries regarding their rights and responsibilities.
Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure fiduciary compliance with applicable laws regulations and trust provisions.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with trust administration.
Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing exceptional service and tailored legal advice.
Communicate complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Collaboration and Professional Development
Work collaboratively with financial advisors accountants and other professionals to achieve client objectives.
Stay current on changes in trust law estate planning and tax regulations.
Qualifications:
LLB Degree
Admitted Attorney
Experience
3 years of experience in Fiduciary (Trusts and Estates)
Administration of Trusts (applications and amendments)
Administration of deceased estates (reporting advertising liquidation and distribution accounts)
Drafting Wills
Liaising with the Master of the HighCourt and relevant stakeholders
FICA knowledge
Conveyancing knowledge (advantageous)
Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Analytical and problemsolving abilities with a meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
Strong knowledge of trust and estate laws.
Ability to advise clients on procedures related to Trusts and Estates
Ability to interpret Administration of Estates Act
