Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
- Install modify and commission new plant equipment to high standards.
- Diagnose and repair faults on plant control systems efficiently to minimise production loss.
- Perform instrumentation control and automation maintenance on production equipment for asphalt and concrete.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and create method statements to ensure safe installation or maintenance activities.
- Provide technical advice and support including training for trainees.
- Quickly and effectively repair plant failures prioritising downtime reduction.
About You:
- Technical Skills: You have the ability to read and faultfind from schematic drawings with handson experience in inverter drives relay logic and PLCs.
- Instrumentation Expertise: Experience in calibration and maintenance of frontline instrumentation is a strong advantage.
- Operational Understanding: Practical knowledge of plant and control systems is highly desirable.
- Qualifications: Ideally you hold an HNC or City and Guilds NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in an electrical discipline.
- Driving Licence: A valid UK driving licence is essential as you will cover multiple sites.
- Physical Fitness: You are comfortable working at height and willing to complete IPAF training. Flexibility to work out of hours when necessary is a must.
