Are you a skilled Mechanical Fitter looking for an opportunity to be a key player in maintaining and optimising a dynamic site and equipment We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our maintenance team ensuring our assets operate efficiently and effectively.
Job OverviewReporting to the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor you will be responsible for reactive corrective and proactive maintenance to keep our plant running smoothly. If you have a passion for safety efficiency and continuous improvement this role is for you.
Key ResponsibilitiesPromote health and safety standards across all depot operations ensuring compliance with company policies.
Perform reactive and planned maintenance to maintain equipment capacity and value contributing to the development of safe working methods.
Address plant breakdowns promptly ensuring temporary fixes are followed up with permanent solutions.
Maintain a clean and hazardfree work environment keeping accurate records of all maintenance activities.
Support and train operatives in inspection and maintenance tasks ensuring plant availability through a structured PPM/PMR scheme.
Ensure all plant and other defects are reported correctly and timely.
Confirm the plant is complying with ISO 19001 quality standards.
Comply with company health safety and environmental policies highlighting any issues appropriately.
Undertake additional duties and ad hoc projects as required by the business.
Proven experience in reactive and planned maintenance within a production or industrial environment.
Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to conduct risk assessments and develop safe working methods.
Reliable flexible and responsive to the demands of a dynamic work environment.
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with site management and operatives.
Familiarity with maintaining uptodate stores and identifying strategic spare parts to ensure continuous operations.
