Job Description
The Policy Lead serves as the principal strategist and advisor on policy initiatives for Primary Health Services. This role involves leading the development advocacy and evaluation of policies that advance the organisations mission and strategic goals. The Policy Lead will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including healthcare teams in Immigration Detention and the Department of Home Affairs providing expertise and driving impact on complex policy issues at the local state and national levels.
Full time on a 6 month contract.
- To lead strategic policy development
- To provide expert policy analysis and recommendations
- To advocate and influence policy change
- To foster stakeholder engagement and collaboration
- To strengthen organisational policy capacity
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in public policy Public Administration or a related field strongly preferred. Bachelors degree with significant relevant experience considered.
- Minimum of 57 years of experience in policy analysis advocacy or a related field.
Skills:
- Deep understanding of public policy processes legislative systems and regulatory environments.
- Proven ability to analyse complex policy issues and develop actionable solutions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with experience in public speaking.
- Strong project management skills including the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in policy research tools databases and software.
