This position is hybrid (Tuesday Thursday in office).  Local candidates to Mettawa IL or Florham Park NJ

The Marketing Analytics and Business Insights (MABI) team supporting AbbVies US Commercial organization is 200 members strong and growing every day. We comprise highly respected researchers analysts and strategists striving to be the gold standard Research & Analytics organization within the biopharmaceutical industry. We serve as strategic inhouse advisor and pragmatic compass to Marketing Sales and Leadership ensuring that all decisions are grounded in rigorous intelligence and earned intuition. JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Associate Director Market Analytics and Business Insights will design implement manage analyze and effectively communicate marketing research and analytics initiatives in support of Vyalev the new asset recently launch in the in Parkinsons disease space. The individual will derive highimpact learnings from qualitative and quantitative primary and secondary research behavioral analytics market intelligence and internal stakeholder initiatives and partner across Neuroscience and Eye Care MABI pillars as well as with Brand partners and external agencies to inform strategic and tactical decisionmaking. The ability to influence decisions based upon careful and strategic thinking and understanding of the business is critical to success.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as intelligence partner across Parkinsons franchise (e.g. Marketing Leadership Team Market Access AbbVie Patient Services Competitive Intelligence etc.) focused on providing strategic insights forming a trusted relationship and staying abreast of commercial issues and burgeoning trends within the Parkinsons.
  • Be conversant with custom research methods adept at supplier and stakeholder management and able to independently lead custom research projects that deliver compelling and actionable learnings.
  • Perform thoughtprovoking and sophisticated syntheses of learning across research analytics and market intelligence sources to develop actionable insights and recommendations that shape strategies and tactics.
  • Maintain organizational knowledge of the market competitive trends and industry developments and effectively communicate this knowledge to internal stakeholders.
  • Design and execute measurement plans inclusive of selected operational and performance indicators to ensure the organizations understanding of execution of engagement with and impact of in market tactics.
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally to ensure Brand Market Access and APS intelligence is leveraged appropriately to inform development of strategies and tactics.
  • Build solid relationships as a team player while maintaining objectivity and lack of bias to represent the voice of the customer.
  • Demonstrate thoughtful confidence in presentation of learnings across all levels of the organization.
  • Appropriately manage and collaborate with both onshore and offshore research and analytics suppliers.
  • Monitor and manage research and analytics programs within budget and identify opportunities for cost savings where appropriate.
  • Ensure all research and analytics activities are conducted in accordance with financial and ethical compliance guidelines.

Qualifications :

  • BA or BS degree required. Advanced degree (MA MS MBA PhD) preferred.
  • 10 years relevant marketing research and/or analytics experience required.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry and pharmaceutical data (physicianlevel prescribing institutional sales data payerprescriberlevel data formulary data patientlevel data etc.) preferred.
  • Analytical reasoning abilities intellectual curiosity strong business acumen superior organizational skills meticulous attention to detail and creativity in problemsolving.
  • Ability to interact effectively with/present to (verbally and in writing) all levels of the organization.
  • Proven experience as an integral member of a highperforming work team.
  • Experience with and strong aptitude navigating a heavily matrixed and fastpaced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively crossfunctionally within the organization and with external agencies.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
