Job Description
Role: Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst
Location: Lewisville TX 75067
Duration: Contract to hire
Job Summary:
We are looking for a senior business Intelligence analyst with expertise in Snowflake SQL and Power BI to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in building and optimizing data solutions that support Accountingrelated requirements and provide insightful analytics. This role requires a proactive individual who can collaborate effectively with Accounting Finance IT and other business units troubleshoot complex issues and deliver actionable insights through data. The primary focus will be on Snowflake SQL data modeling and delivering actionable insights with secondary responsibilities involving BI tools ETL processes and ensuring data integrity.
Essential Job Duties:
- Act as a Business Intelligence partner for the Accounting Department supporting projects and change management initiatives across key project owners (IT Accounting Finance Operations Human Resources Marketing etc.).
- Design develop and optimize SQL queries and Snowflakebased solutions to support business intelligence initiatives.
- Assist in designing implementing and maintaining complex BI solutions using Snowflake data models in Microsoft SSASPowerBI Semantic Models Excel Power Pivot.
- Create and maintain reporting tools troubleshoot improvement opportunities and process change requests as needed.
- Develop and maintain ETL processes to support data integration and transformation needs across the organization.
- Manage Accounting tools accounting reporting and data analytics systems while ensuring governance security consistency integrity and accuracy of all enduser data.
- Provide ongoing support and training to endusers ensuring effective utilization of data tools and resources.
- Participate in system maintenance upgrades and integration projects ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Education Experience and Skills for Success:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Data Analytics or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Masters degree in Computer Science MSBA MBA MIS or PhD is a plus.
- 5 years of experience in data analysis with a strong focus on Snowflake SQL and data modeling.
- Strong Understanding of Accounting methodologies concepts principles and modeling.
- Strong proficiency in systems and methodologies for accessing and utilizing data including Snowflake workspaces SQL for data manipulation ETL processes data analytics and data modeling.
- Proficiency in SQL especially with Snowflake with a demonstrated ability to write optimize and troubleshoot complex queries.
- Knowledge of database objects (tables views etc.) and experience in implementing and optimizing queries materialized views and strong understanding on snowflake architecture.
- Expertise in ETL tools such as Snowpipe SSIS Informatica and Alteryx and/or cloud services such as Snowflake and Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
- Familiarity with DAX and Power BI Services.
- Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
- Willingness to collaborate closely with teammates and all management levels.
