The Quality Manager oversees the plants quality systems ensuring prompt responses to customer feedback and complaints while identifying and aligning synergies for quality control. This role serves as the primary liaison between customers and the paper manufacturing production team to address customer concerns effectively.
Responsibilities:
Oversee product quality for the Waco TX paper manufacturing facility.
Investigate and respond to customer claims promptly to avoid aged claims.
Participate in customer visits as necessary.
Develop and manage trial planning within the facility maintaining records in the trial log.
Regularly review and update the FDAapproved chemical list and document control system.
Attend and contribute to department meetings.
Manage job assignments and employee training plans.
Participate in lab activities and reporting.
Collaborate frequently with Company Sales and Corporate Customer Technical Services.
Oversee technical lab activities.
Qualifications:
57 years of quality manufacturing experience including 3 years of leadership.
Fouryear technical degree.
Paper/packaging industry experience required.
Test lab experience preferred.
Safetyfirst mindset to promote a secure workplace.
Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Participation in oncall/weekend duty rotation.
Knowledge of printing press runnability.
Familiarity with SAP.
Strong organizational skills.
Proven leadership ability to develop teams and achieve results.
Capacity to balance safety quality productivity cost control and employee relations.
Qualityoriented with attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
