Objective:
Directly responsible for the daily operations of the warehouse ensuring efficient
receipt storage and dispatch of materials and products. Plan and establish work
schedules assignments and workflows to meet production and delivery goals.
Interpret company policies and procedures for workers and ensure inventory
accuracy and workplace safety.
Essential Functions:
Oversee and manage the receiving storage shipping and distribution of materials
supplies and finished goods.
Assign tasks to warehouse staff and monitor progress to ensure timely completion
of daily operations.
Maintain inventory accuracy by coordinating regular cycle counts and resolving
discrepancies.
Monitor and manage warehouse equipment and tools ensuring proper
maintenance and safe operation.
Coordinate small item shipments including scheduling packaging and ensuring
adherence to shipping requirements.
Ensure adherence to safety procedures and protocols and train employees on the
proper use of equipment and materials handling techniques.
Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse to ensure cleanliness organization
and safety.
Communicate with other departments to coordinate materials flow and address
any logistical challenges.
Expected to function as a handson leader assisting with warehouse and shipping
operations when needed.
Requirements
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
Ability to operate and maintain warehouse equipment such as forklifts pallet jacks
and scanning systems.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate recordkeeping and efficient inventory management.
Proficiency in basic computer systems and software including Microsoft Office
(Word Excel) and inventory management systems (WMS preferred).
Ability to lead and motivate a team fostering open communication and identifying
strengths and areas for improvement.
Excellent communication skills reading writing and verbal English for efficient
communication of tasks procedures and reporting.
Use good judgment and decisionmaking skills to resolve problems and address
employee concerns.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education Training and Experience:
High School diploma or GED required; some college or trade school preferred.
Three or more years of relevant work experience in warehouse operations or
logistics.
Experience in a supervisory or lead role is preferred.
Work Context:
Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in warehouse conditions that
may include temperature variations noise and dust.
Must be able to lift push pull or carry objects and use abdominal and lower back
muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. (Occasionally lift 75 lbs.
frequently lift 50 lbs.)
Requires good manual dexterity (hand hand with arm two hands) and multilimb
coordination.
Wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes gloves and
hearing protection.
Must be able to quickly move arms and legs and maintain stamina for physical
tasks.
Special Requirements:
Valid driver s license and certification to operate forklifts (or willingness to obtain).
Pass background check and drug screen.
