Job Description
JOB TITLE: Outpatient Medical Coders
Required experience: 6 months 12 months in Outpatient coding.
Work Shift: Night 9 am to 6 pm
Education: Any life science background
Noncertified preferable
Salary: 35K to 50K basic.
No of Vacancy: 7
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review claims for errors and rejections and correct them as needed.
Should be excellence in National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) Edits Global Edits and Correct Coding or ICD10CM Edits.
Should be able to code ICD 10/CPT/HCPS codes to ensure revenue codes are appropriate.
Should handle custom edits cover additional requirements including payer specialty provider or location specific edits.
Should handle edits that are sourced and explained at the level of codetocode relationships and based on American Medical Association CPT guidelines CMS guidelines Correct Coding Initiatives commercial and Medicare code sets medical societies and other widely accepted thirdparty sources.
Review medical records and obtain necessary information to support valid code series.

Certification is not mandatory but an added advantage if certified.

Adherence to the rules and regulations as outlined by the management.
