Note: This position is currently listed as Onsite; however the Assignment under this request will provisionally be Hybrid working 7.25 hours per calendar day sometime between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM (excluding breaks) Monday to Friday inclusive unless otherwise identified. These conditions are subject to change as the OPS reflects on its current situation. During the duration of the assignment you will be under the discretion of the Hiring Managers requirements for the Project you are assigned to.
Must Haves
- 6 years experience with frontend development languages and elements including HTML JS JS frameworks CSS. Strong expertise in Java and the Java development ecosystem including experience with Spring Boot.
- 6 years experience with React/React Native or comparable technologies (Angular Vue etc.)
- 6 years experience with enterprise integration technologies such as JMS AMQP or REST and an understanding of how to use them in a Spring Integration context.
- Experience integrating and customizing frontend development with APIs for Web Chat / Live Chat using AWS and Amazon Connect
- Extensive experience with REST API design and development including experience with API documentation and testing.
- Strong knowledge of XML and experience working with XMLbased integration solutions such as XSLT and XPath.
- Experience ensuring website designs comply with organizational brand standards and meet AODA requirements; Knowledgeable in Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) for web application development Object Management Group (OMG) technical standards and OPS design and architecture standards.
Description
Scope
- Court Technology & Transformation Division aims to enhance the user support experience by developing and implementing holistic publicfacing (Litigants and Counsel) and internalfacing (CSD Staff and Judiciary) support pages. These pages will provide users of all Courts applications access to selfservice support options FAQs and triaging to the appropriate Tier 1 support.
- This project will create a new onestop support channel for all support information related to Phase 1 of the CDT initiative as well as other technology and transformation initiatives across the Ministry.
- This includes the design development and maintenance of public and internal facing websites for support and Open Data as directed by stakeholder requirements including integration with existing contact center software and ticketing systems. As well as oversight and performance of quality assurance activities including unit testing functional testing performance/load testing and security testing
- Over time the Ministry plans to scale this support channel to further facilitate a seamless user experience (UX) within Ontarios Justice system.
Assignment Deliverables
- Development develop maintain and improve MAG websites by writing and/or generating implement code for website development including translating wireframes and creative concepts into developed and implemented components that faithfully represent intended design as well as and conducting unit tests on code.
- Design and Documentation participate in the creation of highquality designs and management of component libraries to support consistent designs across web pages. Ensure website designs comply with OPS brand standards and meet AODA requirements
- Support support the development of test cases and guidance to support functional testing and user acceptance of developed components. Conduct quality assurance testing including unit testing functional testing and security testing. Assist with troubleshooting on production issues as well as support daytoday operations and management.
A Note on the VOR Master Service Agreement:
- The VOR Master Service Agreement which expires on April 5 2026 leaves some Contracts with funding unassigned for fiscal 202627. If the current statement of work expires on March 31 2026 the remaining funds can be used to exercise an option to extend the SOW beyond March 31 2026 based on business case approvals. Such extensions will be allowable only if the Master Service Agreement is extended beyond April 5 2026 and be upon the same terms conditions and covenants contained in the SOW.
- The start date is subject to change based on security clearances and contract signing timelines.
