Job Description

About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detailoriented Application Support Specialist to join our clients dynamic team. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of businesscritical applications resolving technical issues and providing exceptional support to endusers. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing user experience and optimizing system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Incident Management: Respond promptly to applicationrelated incidents and service requests diagnosing and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshooting: Analyze and debug application errors liaising with development teams or thirdparty vendors as needed.
  • System Monitoring: Monitor application performance and availability ensuring system stability and addressing potential risks proactively.
  • User Support: Provide enduser support by addressing technical queries offering guidance and facilitating training sessions as necessary.
  • Change Management: Participate in the implementation of updates patches and new features ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of support activities processes and solutions to ensure a comprehensive knowledge base.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with crossfunctional teams to identify and resolve applicationrelated challenges ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance application performance and user satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in an application support or related technical role.
    • Familiarity with specific software or tools relevant to your organization e.g. SQL Linux ERP systems.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of application architectures databases and integration frameworks.
    • Handson experience with troubleshooting tools and techniques.

  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problemsolving and analytical abilities.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective user interaction.

    • Ability to work independently and in a teamoriented collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and frameworks.

  • Experience with ticketing systems like e.g. Jira ServiceNow.

  • Certifications in e.g. ITIL Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
