Job Description

AJ Bell is recruiting an FP&A Systems Project Manager on a 6month fixedterm contract to lead the successful implementation of a new FP&A system that will enhance reporting capabilities and support AJ Bells strategic growth. This role is key to transforming our FP&A processes improving efficiency through automation and maintaining financial integrity as we continue to scale.

Were looking for a proactive project leader with a proven track record of finance system implementations to partner with our FP&A team and drive this critical change project from start to finish.

What does the job involve

  • Leading the FP&A system implementation project from the business case through to UAT and user adoption.
  • Replace the businesss legacy FP&A processes with efficient strongly controlled processes that can handle the complexities of the business and meet its future needs.
  • Production and agreement of project scope and optimised project plans and responsibility for leading and managing the project team to these plans
  • Establish and maintain effective and trusted relationships with internal Finance and project stakeholders and external 3rd party suppliers
  • Regular reporting on project status to sponsors stakeholders and executive management
  • Identification and management of project risks issues and dependencies plus assessment of consumer outcome risks posed by the project

What youll have:

  • Chartered Accountant (CIMA ACCA or ACA) (desirable)
  • Proven track record of finance system implementations ideally in a Systems Accountant role
  • Strong project management skills with experience delivering complex projects
  • Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and the ambition to challenge conventions
  • Experience using systems and automation to drive efficiencies and improve controls
  • Excellent communication and relationshipbuilding skills across teams and external suppliers
  • Ability to work pragmatically and escalate risks through appropriate channels when necessary
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform systems migrations and regulated environments (desirable)
