Job Description

To drive and influence IT solutions for Airport Operations within the Organization ensuring that the systems are effectively defined implemented deployed integrated and aligned with the different Business processes and Strategic Goals. This involves acting as the main liaison between Business stakeholders and the development team ensuring that the Product meets business expectations while delivering on the agreed timelines.

Accountabilities:

  • Working in partnership with IAG Tech and the business to:
  • Develop and manage project plans schedules and budgets.
  • Lead and manage crossfunctional teams including developers functional/business analysts and technical infrastructure teams.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define project scope goals and deliverables.
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed ontime within budget and meet or exceed quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Communicate project status risks and issues to project sponsors and business stakeholders.
  • Ensure appropriate project documentation is developed and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project team members.
  • Stay up to date with IT best practices and trends implementation following Agile methodologies.

Qualifications :

Qualifications:

Educated to degree level or equivalent experience

Desired qualifications:

  • Airport and Airline Operations Knowledge: deep understanding of airline and airport processes
  • Recognized Agile and Waterfall qualifications
  • Previous experience in IT projects

Skills:

  • Project Management: Strong project management skills including definition planning execution monitoring and support. Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership skills to manage and motivate the project team.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders and team members effectively.
  • ProblemSolving: Ability to identify and resolve issues that arise during the implementation process.
  • Analytical skills to assess project performance and make datadriven decisions.
  • Forming strong stakeholder relationships with a proven ability of influencing negotiating and persuading internally and externally
  • Business partnering working as a valued partner with senior stakeholders across a diverse operation delivering a valueadded service to business customers. 
  • Ability to recognise priorities and guide others towards the accomplishment of strategic business goals and objectives.
  • Embracing and managing both business and IT change as necessary to help shape future direction.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish

Experience:

  • Demonstratable experience of successfully implementations of airline/airport projects.
  • Experience of working in a business and technology delivery environment.
  • Experience of working with the following is highly desirable:
    • Process mapping tools
    • Agile and waterfall management tools
  • Experience of operating across multiple countries and cultures is desirable
