HSE Officer

ROLE PURPOS: 

We are looking for a HSE Officer who is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations identify and mitigate workplace hazards and promote a strong safety culture to protect the wellbeing of employees and stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Conducting regular safety inspections at the site to ensure compliance with ASR safety regulations and standards.
• Identifying and assessing potential hazards and risks associated with the Site activities and implementing control measures to mitigate them.
• Providing safety inductions to all personnel involved in the work to ensure they are aware of safety procedures and protocols.
• Monitoring and enforcing the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all workers at the site.
• Report any incidents near misses or accidents that occur during the work.
• Collaborating with the HSE Engineer and Manager to develop and implement safety policies procedures and emergency response plans specific to the work.
• Conducting safety meetings and toolbox talks to communicate safety information and address any safety concerns or issues.
• Participating in emergency response drills and ensuring that all workers are familiar with emergency procedures.
• Providing regular safety reports to the HSE Engineer and Manager highlighting key safety metrics trends and areas for improvement.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

• Project related objectives & targets.
• Effective project HSE management systems inplace
• Successful project completion.
• Documentation submitted on time to HSE Engineer

Qualifications :

Qualifications:  A degree in science / Engineering /a degree in Environmental/OHS or Equivalent.                           

Affiliations:    Membership in recognized Saudi Council of Engineer (SCE Or OSH KSA)

Years of Experience/ Sector: 2 years worked within Oil & Gas EPCs and construction/project as Safety Officer.

JobSpecific Skills: (Example Analytical skills Auto CAD STAAD.Pro software skills etc.)

• • Sitespecific hazard identification and assessment skills.
  •  Knowledge of construction or industrial site safety protocols.
  • Understanding of sitespecific safety regulations and requirements.
  • Ability to conduct site inspections and audits effectively.
  • Experience in implementing safety measures tailored to the site environment.
  • Communication skills to engage with site personnel and address safety concerns.
  •  Emergency response planning and coordination for onsite incidents.
  • Familiarity with equipment and machinery safety procedures on the site.
  • Collaboration with site managers and workers to ensure safety compliance.
  • Adaptability to address sitespecific safety challenges and risks.
  • Experience working with ISO 45001OSHM management systems.

Additional Information :

 **Security clearance**

This role requires the successful candidate to hold a minimum of a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance.

Due to the nature of work this role will be delivering and for the protection of certain assets the successful candidate has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a nonITAR country.
