Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drilling Engineer / Supervisor specializing in HighPressure HighTemperature (HPHT) operations to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will oversee drilling activities ensuring safety efficiency and adherence to industry standards while driving continuous improvement in drilling performance.
Description
- Plan supervise and execute HPHT drilling operations ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate and manage drilling contractors ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Provide technical guidance and support for drilling programs including well design engineering calculations and operational procedures.
- Evaluate and implement advanced drilling technologies and methodologies to optimize performance and reduce costs.
- Identify potential drilling hazards and develop mitigation strategies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety protocols and best practices.
- Lead and mentor drilling teams fostering a culture of safety teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Ensure effective communication between all stakeholders including management engineers and field personnel.
- Monitor drilling performance metrics and KPIs analyzing data to identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on drilling operations and performance for management review.
Requirement
- Bachelors degree in Petroleum Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in drilling engineering/supervision with a focus on HPHT operations.
- Proven track record in managing complex drilling projects in offshore or challenging environments.
- Strong understanding of drilling technologies tools and techniques used in HPHT operations.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in drilling engineering software and data analysis tools.
- Indepth knowledge of health safety and environmental regulations related to drilling operations.
